SUMMARY:Non-Terrestrial Networks in 5G and Beyond:Towards Ubiquitous and Intelligent Connectivity
DESCRIPTION:This course provides a comprehensive introduction to technological advancement of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN)\, with a focus on the developments at 3GPP from the current 5G standards towards future 6G systems. Participants will gain deep understanding of the landscape in wireless communications\, the key concepts and frameworks of NTN\, their use cases\, opportunities and challenges\, as well as latest trends towards 6G NTN. Importantly\, the course will highlight key NTN initiatives around the world from both academia and industry and analyse important real-world use cases for NTN. The course will help participants understand key technology considerations\, design choices\, and roadmap in the evolution of NTN technologies. Through this course\, participants will gain both technical foundations and industry insights that will help them evaluate\, design\, and innovate NTN solutions for different sectors.

SUMMARY:Heterogeneous Robotics Systems
DESCRIPTION:This 3-day course provides an in-depth study of heterogeneous robotic systems\, focusing on the integration\, coordination\, and control of diverse robotic platforms such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)\, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs)\, legged robots (quadrupeds)\, humanoids\, and sensor nodes (IoT / edge devices). Course participants will learn how to design and implement multi-robot systems capable of performing complex autonomous missions\, including surveillance\, search and rescue\, and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS). The course combines theoretical foundations with example implementation using modern robotics frameworks. Fundamental and advanced concepts of multi-agent autonomous systems are presented within the context of aerial swarms. Focus will be on the latest state-of-the-art and practical applications.
